 Organic and Lush! Herbs, flowers, leaves, and roots have been a central part in the health and well-being, as well as the healing, of people as long as we’ve walked the earth. At Renaissance we enjoy applying these healing botanicals to the work we do in massage and beyond. We make all of our Botanical Solutions right here at Renaissance. All of the ingredients are organic and we keep them as fresh as possible with small batches. Essential oils provide the only scent, so not only do they smell fabulous, they carry with them the unique and specific healing properties of the botanical essential oils they contain. Here are our current offerings... We do a lot of hiking here in the Pacific Northwest so our first attentions turned to products for the faithful feet. Of course it didn’t stop there. Once our feet were comfy we moved north to the lips! Let us explain... Faithful feet, tightly bound in leather and wool, released to frolic in mountain streams and the beaches of the mighty Pacific can get a little funky by the end of the day, so we set out to create a super scrub that clean the feet, but also please the senses and nurture the skin. We know coffee had to figure prominently! Thus was born Pacific VanillaJava Foot Scrub. Choose this foot scrub for clean smooth feet. The Pacific Ocean salts are mineral-rich and easily absorbed through the skin. The coffee is stimulating, exfoliating, and toning, the vanilla is balsamic, and the honey antiseptic. Just scrub before or during a shower and rinse. And it’s not just for the feet! This scrub works well on the back, arms, hands, legs, and other parts of your faithful body. You’ll love our luxurious CocoaMint Foot Cream, first for its heady aroma, then for the way it softens even the toughest, most weathered skin. From cracked heels to calloused toes, the cocoa and shea butters will work their magic to soften and soothe, while the peppermint and cedar essential oils will cool and deodorize. Vegetable glycerin will draw moisture to the skin and makes our foot cream a tasty lip balm, too. Fear not! Your feet will share! Spoil your faithful feet with Aromatic MintSpice Foot Powder. It contains absorbent French clay, the softest corn starch, relaxing sage, cooling peppermint and essential oils—including the strongest germicidal in the plant kingdom, oil of clove. Shoes and sandals sprinkled with this wonder powder will be cooling and aromatic. Your closet, suitcase, gym bag, backpack, or anywhere your shoes live are going to smell fabulous. Speaking of lips... we can barely keep our Healing Lip Balms in the shop. But that doesn’t bother us—it gives us a reason to whip together a new flavor. Our lip balms all start with a base of hemp oil and shea butter—the skin’s most nourishing treats—then, depending on the season or the whim of the one creating it, we add essential oil blends designed to protect, soothe, or nourish chapped, weathered lips. Choose from Rosemary Mint, Orange Coconut, Autumn Spice, Healing Garden, and pure unscented. Our favorite Botanical Solution is our Mountain Arnica Balm. We keep our massage rooms well-stocked with this healing, soothing balm. Long used to diminish muscle trauma and soreness, Mountain Arnica plays the starring role in our balm. But we’ve also added an essential oil blend that is designed to soothe muscles and skin, and quiet over-active nerve messages—the most common culprit in muscle spasms. Its all in an olive oil base which is terrific for the skin. We add just enough beeswax to hold it all together yet keep it available for easy absorption to the body.
